Juan ``Afro`` Johnson

Juan has been been involved in and or competed in motorsports ranging from Karting, to Autocross, to Rallycross, to Stage rally, to ARX and has recently started a campaign into time attack. Jack of all trades and master of some, he is always looking for new ways to expand his skills both on the racetrack and in the shop.

Time Attack

2020 Marked the start of Afro Speed's focus on Building cars for and competing in Time attack events Nationwide.

Autocross

We have been competing in Autocross events since 2015 and have claimed a small handful of Class podiums in the St. Louis Region along the way.

Rallycross

Rallycross is where Afro got his start in competitive racing back in 2015 and Afro Speed has continued to be regularly involved with multiple standing podiums along the way.

Parts Manufacturing

Our campaign into Time Attack was founded by our drive to learn more about tuning cars with the intention of someday making our own parts. 2020 will be a year of R&D with the intention to start manufacturing and selling parts in 2021.
